Press Release Summary = India\'s most controversial guru, Sathya Sai Baba is
increasingly investigated by major foreign press. The Indo-Asian News Service has
broken through strong Indian media silence on news adverse to Sai Baba, and widely
fed the recent Guardian article by Paul Lewis. One of the world\'s most influential
newspapers, it has fueled still further questioning about the Indian government\'s
longstanding protection of Sai Baba

Press Release Body = Entries at the Wordpress URL discuss the following and related
issues.

India\'s most famous guru - arguably in history - is Sathya Sai Baba. Billions pour
into his coffers from around the world, donated in good faith. Deputy world head of
the Sathya Sai Organization, G. Venkataraman, has said media that has investigated
Sai Baba and interviewed former devotees about serial pedophilia and complicity in
several killings in his bedroom have failed to exercise standards proper to
professional journalism. These include documentaries from the BBC (The Secret
Swami), DR (Seduced, Denmark\'s national broadcaster), SBS and ABC (Australia), and
investigative articles in India Today, Times of London, Daily Telegraph, The
Guardian, Salon.com, The Age, and others leading newspapers around the world.

On Christmas Day 2006, Sai Baba and spoke warmly about his visit in 1968 to Ugandan
dictator Idi Amin. G.Venkataraman wrote a glowing report, referring to \"Mr Idi
Amin\". Yet Amin was one of the world\'s worst butchers, causing a genocide of an
estimated 400,00, raping and torturing, refrigerating an eating corpses of his
victims.
